The Summer Intern Housing Program (SIHP) is operated through Conference Services at Emory University. SIHP was founded in 1997 to offer all-inclusive* accommodations for students who are interning in the Atlanta area during the summer. Since its inception, residents have spent more than 60,000 bed nights with us. Each summer, we typically house over 400 interns in numerous fields, including accounting, law, consulting, information technology, non-profit, visual and performing arts, medicine and others.
Located in North Druid Hills, a stately neighborhood located in northeast Atlanta, Emory is just minutes from downtown and the Buckhead region of the city. All modern amenities and utilities are included in the nightly rate. This includes a private bedroom in a completely furnished apartment with laundry facilities, parking, electricity, air conditioning, Emory cable service, wireless internet access, and on-site gym/pool membership. Furthermore, we offer residents the opportunity to interact with interns from across the country and around the world, through both informal interaction and scheduled social activities. Emory staff is on-call 7 days a week for any emergencies that may arise. We also offer rooms that are wheelchair accessible and ADA approved.

The primary function of the Director of Conference Servicesis to serve the Emory University community (deans, faculty, administrators, department heads, and students) by planning educational conferences, conventions, seminars, and special events to be conducted on Emory’s campus. This position also assists in serving the outreach goals of Emory’s Office of Conference Services by marketing the campus to local, regional, national, and international community and bringing programs to the campus that are external to the University. Additionally, the Director of University Conferences oversees all professional and managerial staff in the Office, and serves as the liaison to Campus Life.
Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Sherry Ebrahimi received her B. A. from Emory University and her M.S. from Florida State in Higher Education Administration. Sherry has worked at Emory in many different capacities, and took over as the Director of University Conferences in Spring of 2002.

SIHP participants will check in at the Clairmont Campus Tower Apartments, located at 2425 Dooley Drive, Decatur, GA 30033 (not a mailing address.)
When arriving, please park in the circle outside the Tower until you are issued your parking pass. Please move your vehicle as soon as you have completed the check-in process. The parking decks are connected to the apartment buildings, and you may unload in there. (Moving trucks may not fit in the parking decks.)
